This blog is a continuation of a project that started on my Facebook - photographing craft beer or imported beer. Originally I used my wife’s laptop cover as a background, until one day she refused to let me use it. I had an open beer in one hand and the camera in the other, and I was panicking…until I I had a brainwave - use a Celtic Frost vinyl! And since then I have not looked back, using my growing collection of vinyl as backdrops for the reasons my waistline is ever-so-steadily increasing.
Of course, Facebook has its limitations - on number of photos allowed for upload, and how many people one is willing to let into the Secret Gate that is One’s Online Persona. This way, I can be more public about it without letting everyone carouse around my Facebook.
On the music - I’m a huge heavy metal fan, so most of it is of that persuasion. However, my taste is quite broad, so there are other genres presented as backdrops. I will eventually upload all my old photos as well - including the ones that did not include vinyl as a backdrop - and original captions. Or I might upload them offsite and link to them. Watch this space.
